On Thursday 25th September  the Association finally  after 3 years met up with the Manchester & District Golf Captains at The Reddish Vale Golf Club, Reddish, Manchester.

The  5806 yards PAR 69 course was in excellent condition and greens ran true, with the 342 yard 18th hole being the signature hole which resulted is a steep climb up the hill, which for us all couldn’t reach the green in two, allowing us all to take a breather part way up to the green.

We were welcomed by Colin Leigh, The President of Reddish Vale Golf Club,  thanked his playing partners for the company and  hoped that everyone had an enjoyable day.

Peter Keown, The Captain of The Manchester & District Golf Captains thanked the caterers for a hearty meal and the Greens Staff for presenting the course in such excellent condition and wished all a safe journey home.

John Evans, Vice-Captain of The Association, then expressed his gratitude to his playing partners and acknowledged the organisers for their dedication and effort, noting that their hard work was instrumental in making the event such a resounding success.

The day’s format at Reddish Vale was 4 Ball Better Ball Match Play, culminating in a 4½ to 3¼ victory for The Flintshire Golf Captains and Past Captains Association.
