Captain’s Day was held at Rhuddlan on 8th Sept when 60 members played plus 6 guests. Unfortunately, the weather was atrocious and a decision was made to play the competition over 14 holes to ensure that all players could complete their round in daylight. The refreshments provided by the Captain at the halfway house were gladly welcomed by all, in what was for the majority of the day, heavy rain.
The winner of the Captain’s Salver was Paul Burnet with 28 pts.

The President's Day was held at Prestatyn on Sunday 18th August.
The course was in excellent condition, and though windy, was testing but thoroughly enjoyed by all of the excellent field of 48 players.
The President Dale Milne provided welcoming refreshments at the halfway house.
After the golf we all tucked into a well-earned meal that was first rate.
There were 2 birdie 2s which I am sure would make the Treasurer very happy.
The eventual winner Darryl Sargeant from Prestatyn with 36 points.

The Herbert Moore Memorial Trophy Final
The Herbert Moore Memorial Trophy Final between Darren Edwards and Simon Williams (Pennant Park) and David Hughes and Kevin Leech ( Holywell) was held at Rhuddlan Golf Club on Saturday 12th October.
I am sure there must be a curse from the Golf Gods when the Association play at Rhuddlan as the heavens opened up not long after teeing off, however the weather did not deter the excellent competitive play by both sides. The eventual winners for the 2024 Herbert Moore Memorial Trophy were Darren Edwards and Simon Williams.
